Drip-Free Umbrellas

These Unique Umbrellas Ensure Users Stay Dry

The reverse engineering of these unique umbrellas allows them to stay completely drip-free. Developed by Jenan Kazim of KAZ Designs, the KAZbrella has a frame that turns the wet canopy inside-out before closing.

Tired of the wet floors caused by dripping umbrellas, as well as the difficulty entering and exiting confined spaces while holding one, Kazim set out to design a solution. He explains, "This faulty umbrella design has been with us for 3,000 years, and I think we can do better."

The brilliance of the KAZbrella lies in the fact that it looks and operates like a regular umbrella when open, but the string and pulley mechanism within allows it to close in an efficient way to trap excess water.
