Starbucks' FoodShare Program Will Offer Uneaten Food to Consumers in Need

Starbucks is taking a step forward with a food donation initiative called FoodShare that will offer uneaten food made by the brand and sold in stores to those in need. This will include items that are perishable after the work day has finished that will be donated to Feed America. The program will be in place in all Starbucks locations across the U.S. and will include donating 100% of uneaten food. This is a great way for the brand to offer up product that would otherwise be thrown out for a good cause.

The FoodShare program is an initiative put together by Starbucks to help the non-profit organization Food Donation Connection bring meals to those in need of them, such as families that have limited or unstable access to fresh food. The cafe chain will have its employees collect unsold perishable product at the end of the day and send them to Feed America.
