What happens at Burning Man often stays in Burning Man, but thankfully someone decided that it was imperative that the world was privy to the Truth is Beauty sculpture. At first the images seem unreal, as though they were Photoshopped to life, but it becomes increasingly clear that the Truth is Beauty sculpture was physically created and not virtually with every new image.
Created by Marco Cochrane, the Truth is Beauty sculpture is part of his Bliss Project. Soaring a breathtaking 16 meters high, it takes the form of a beautiful and graceful woman. As though she were frozen mid-dance performance, her back arches slightly as she raises her arms to the sky. The Truth is Beauty sculpture is made out of welded steel rods and about 3000 multicolored LED lights.
