Florida-based artist Stephanie Alice Rogers has started an eerie collection of trophy heads. The first in the series is entitled "Elsie" a piece which is accompanied by a murderous short story. She clearly likes to marry her "love of three dimensional art with storytelling". Her hanging ornament heads also could merit a tale or two although her doll head graveyard is simply a collection of her first attempts at doll-making.
Many of her art dolls are based on her writings. She also draws inspiration from books, myths, legends, fairy tales and superstitions which is evident from the crone or witch like looks of some of her dolls. All good Halloween material!
