Poetry-Inspired Branding

Tribero Creates Identities for the Standard East Village Cafe

Tribero was assigned to create the branding identities for the Standard East Village Cafe, and decided to bring out the historical roots of the place.

The surrounding area had been a hub historically for poets and writers, so Tribero wanted to show this in their designs. The menu is done in a typewriter font, making a connection to times gone by when people wrote on such devices. The backs of the menus are covered in word play and various bits of poetry, all of which were done after the team went into an old typewriter store in Manhattan to try out the diverse range of devices. After settling on one, they came up with the copy for the Standard East Village Cafe identities. Photo Credits: designboom, triborodesign
