If you've always wanted a homemade swing in your backyard when you were a kid, you can now make your very own retro backyard tree swing with these simple few steps.
To start, you'll need a a slap of 2 by 4 by 8-inch piece of wood for the seat, rope, paint, glue and drill bits. Find a sturdy and durable tree branch to hang your vintage homemade tree swing from. Then, paint your wooden seat a cute summer pastel color, like teal. When dry, drill two holes into the slab of wood and tread the rope through. Carefully and strongly fasten the ropes to the tree branch. Once everything is properly secured in place, relive your childhood and swing your life away.
