The Thierry Mugler AW12 collection is a mash between sasquatch-inspired style and futuristic spaceman suits. Unlike the J Mendel AW12 collection, which had a similar color palette and theme, this runway show is not comprised of delicate designs fit for a snow goddess. Instead, these outfits are more appropriate for icy, sci-fi sophisticates.
Presented during Paris Fashion Week, the Thierry Mugler AW12 collection is filled with fur, fringe and exaggerated shoulders. Although the waist remains accentuated in each elegant ensemble, the sleeves bulge out curiously for a dramatic effect. The tattered skirts and helmet-like headdresses add to the futuristic aesthetic that the fashion line is going for.
Although predominately white, the Thierry Mugler AW12 collection also boasts a handful of black pieces as well as red and yellow.
