This Newly Designed Thermoelectric Paint Converts Heat into Electricity

These new thermoelectric paints were designed by the 'Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute' and could change the way in which different spaces and products are powered.

The paint is able to capture 'waste heat' from various sources and works better than products that do the same due to its ability to cover many different surfaces. It is made from bismuth telluride and works when the paint is applied to a surface and then heated at high temperatures for 10 minutes -- increasing its density and making its ability to convert heat into electricity more efficient.
