Newspaper-Scented Candles

The Times of New York Candle Smells Like The New York Times

With the rise of e-readers and online publications, I have to seriously wonder if products like The Times of New York candle are soon to be the only way to enjoy a nostalgic moment of ink and paper. This newspaper-scented candle, specifically crafted to make you recall the fragrance of The New York Times, is certainly sentimental in concept and execution.

Created by Tobias Wong, The Times of New York candle is a beautiful tribute to the no longer immortal Grey Lady. With hints of guaiacwood, cedar, musk and spice, it will bring a tear to even the most hardened newspaper reader.

The Times of New York candle will retail for $65. Better stalk up on them, however, since only a limited edition of 1,000 candles will be produced by Josée Lepage, the Creative Director of Bondtoo. It will be available at Project No. 8 at Ace Hotel and Bondtoo.com.
