Waterproof MP3 Watches

The Proof Offers an H20-Friendly Timepiece Option for the iPod Nano

One of the most popular things to do with the iPod Nano is to convert it into a watch, and The Proof takes this concept a step further by making the design waterproof.

San Francisco-based Boombotix has actually incorporated a waterproof wristband design for the new iPod Nano. The design of The Proof has an IP68 grade seal that protects the MP3 player up to a 3m depth. The case itself is constructed from a combination of durable polyurethane and a thick silicone wrapped coating. What’s interesting is that Boombotix has designed three adapters that serve different purposes for the wristband. The purple brings protection and minimal size, the green allows access to the auxiliary jack to use with headphones/speakers and the blue has a built-in Bluetooth transmitter for wireless purposes.

The Proof is still a Kickstarter project, and I hope it ends up in the hands of Nano users soon.
