Sizable Public Stabbings

'The Knife' by Maria Lujan and Wolfgang Krug Looks like It Hurts

‘The Knife’ by Maria Lujan and Wolfgang Krug is an art project that involved staging public murders using a giant knife.

The two artists started by building a massive stabbing utensil out of cardboard. The knife appears to be a kitchen knife based on the shape of the handle and the classic three dots. At the end of the knife, the two artists attached a red piece of paper in the shape of a pool of blood. The two then took to the streets and laid around with the knife sticking into them. Pedestrians were a little surprised when they turned their heads to see a motionless girl with a massive knife sticking out of her.

‘The Knife’ by Maria Lujan and Wolfgang Krug is a dark and clever piece of live art.
