Boldly Browed Babes

Polina Vinogradova's The Grand Illusion Series is All About Seduction

There is a decidedly devilish look in The Grand Illusion photo series. This has very much to do with the eccentric, alienesque makeup, chaotically teased hair, edgy fashions, dark post production and, of course, the model’s moody disposition.

Photographed by Denmark-based Polina Vinogradova, The Grand Illusion photo series came together magnificently thanks to the styling done by Sofia Choub, the hair done by Nicolas Grivaz, the makeup done by Sara Johnsen-Zaavi (who used MAC products) and the beautiful model Sidsel Grubbe.

Shot in Copenhagen, The Grand Illusion photo series centers on the idea of "the great seduction," as Vinogradova puts it. Considering the gritty glamor and raw emotion in this series, it is no surprise that she is considering it all just an elaborate illusion.
