The TEC Home -- developed by San Francisco-based ear health start-up Clear Ear -- is a gadget that allows users to conduct full-scale deep ear cleanings in the comfort of their own home, rather than having to go to a doctor. It is designed to help remove ear wax plugs that can cause pain, discomfort and hearing loss.
The TEC Home sprays water into the sides of the ear canal, before suctioning out water and wax. It heats up water to body temperature before spraying it into your ears, helping to prevent dizziness.
Clear Ear has taken to Indiegogo to raise funds to bring the TEC Home to market. A pledge of $100 will get you a TEC Home in December 2014 if the fundraising goal is met and the product comes to fruition.
