The TATA Lamp by Cbdisegno Celebrates a Simple Rectangular Shape

Made out of a single sheet of Plexiglass, the TATA Lamp has been lasercut in such a way that it takes on the form of a book. This familiar aesthetic is due in large part to the way the material fans out as if someone were flipping through the pages of a novel. Nevertheless, the varying size of each section also gives the TATA Lamp a geometrical dimension that is visually striking.

Designed by Claudia Bignoli of cbdisegno, an architect based in Novara, Italy, the TATA Lamp shows her pension at looking for essence and purity of shapes, volumes and materials to create an absolute simplicity. Beautifully sculptural, the TATA Lamp is certainly minimalist while also celebrating a simple rectangular shape.
