Sassy 60s Kitchenware

The Tala Retro Range Channels its Mid-Century Roots with Throwback Branding

What the Tala Retro Range demonstrates is that culinary implements can be so much more than utilitarian tools within one's kitchen cabinets. Broadbase Design took up the task of repackaging over 350 products with the goal that they would have something else to offer in addition to functionality.

This "something else" is both aesthetic and emotional. The measuring cups, tea tins, sugar shakers, sifters and storage jars were embellished with vivid vintage looks that are reminiscent of the company's branding from the 1960s. The colors, the typefaces and the illustrations celebrate the company's long history and they all evoke a certain nostalgia. The Tala Retro Range stimulates sentimentality and serves up a way to make cooking tools into delightful decorations as well.
