Hand-Powered Dishwashers

This Table Top Dishwasher Helps Save Water, Electricity and Space

This manual table top dishwasher by student and designer Chen Levin saves the environment while also keeping your kitchen clean.

Designed for small residential areas, the 'Circo' is perfect for anyone who doesn't have the space or money for an electrical dishwasher. The design is also ideal for those who don't want to waste water and time by hand-washing their dishes. Powered by a simple hand crank, this contraption works with added water and a sodium acetate tablet that are combined to heat dirty dishes. By turning the crank, users will activate a centrifuge inside the small enclosure that will spray water from the base to clean dishes after only one minute of use.

Not only does this table top dishwasher require no electricity but it also uses much less water than a conventional dishwasher. Plus, the 'Circo' even doubles as a convenient drying rack once the dishes are done being cleaned.
