'Frontiers North Adventures' Creates Tundra-Ready Electric Tour Buggy

'Frontiers North Adventures' received $149,000 in funding from the Conservation and Climate Fund of Manitoba, Canada. This funding allowed Frontiers North Adventures to create the 'EV Tundra Buggy,' a large electric buggy capable of weathering arctic climates. The buggy enables up to 40 tourists and locals to see the polar bears in their natural tundra habitat per trip.

Frontiers North Adventures has had tundra buggy excursions available for some time, so the polar bears are not startled by the previous buggies. However, the new EV Tundra Buggy is larger and much quieter, which may catch the polar bears by surprise.

The EV Tundra Buggy offsets the carbon footprint of the arctic tundra tours themselves as much as possible, but there is still a concern with the emissions from flight travel from tourists trying to reach Manitoba.
