The Stunning, Self-Sustaining Studio Monte Rosa in Switzerland

ETH Zurich, SAC, Lucerne University and EMPA joined forces to create the new Studio Monte Rosa. The building is a self-sufficient, self-sustaining, modern day lodge surrounded by breath-taking alpine views.

Built in extreme mountain conditions and in the middle of a natural reserve, the new Studio Monte Rosa will function as an alpine hut complete with restaurant and hotel (for 125 guests) for the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC).
