The Stella Star Camera and Projector Simplifies Stargazing

Designers Seung-Kwon Kim, Seung-Ju Kim and Zhong-fa Lie hope to create a new generation of stargazers with the Stella Star Camera and Projector. Stella is a creatively designed camera that lets you capture an image of the night sky and then project it.

The Stella Star Camera and Projector works using GPS to locate constellations. Once the constellations are located, an outline is formed by the camera to help explain how a jumble of stars could be named after a bull or a hunter. Users of the camera can photograph the image of the outlined constellation and then take it to the camera's dock to be projected onto their ceiling.

The idea behind this device is that stargazing can have a powerful effect on young minds.
