Alex first introduced us to the hidden garage concept in October last year. Six months on, sales are soaring on these $67,000 Thunderbirds-style pop-up garages which have fast become one of the latest home-improvement crazes.
The garage uses a silent hydraulic platform which can be hidden under a water feature, a gardenbed, a patch of gravel, or even another car.
Eight underground garages have been built, four are in production and more than 10 are on order. There is now a four month waiting list on them and experts are predicting that demand for these stealthy car spaces will continue to grow due to the fact that homeowners are choosing to improve their property rather than trying to sell in the struggling property market.
