Worldplay Food States

The 'Foodnited States of America' is the US States Recreated Using Food

Food blogging site Food Diggity recreates various American States using produce, meat and noodles in a series called Foodnited States of America featured on the blog's Instagram account. The illustrations depict various American states recreated using similar-sounding food items.

While many artists in the past have recreated famous countries using food, Food Diggity's creator Chris Durso upped his game by recreating the American states with fun edible items and giving the states funny, pun-based names. For example, the state of New York is recreated using a piece of beef jerky under the fitting title New Jerky. California is transformed into Kaleifornia by typographically recreating this sunshine-filled state using a piece of green kale.
