Superhero Web-Shooting Gadgets

This Webshooter Was Unveiled for the Spider-Man Film Release

German laser weapons maker Patrick Priebe created this wearable electromagnetic webshooter, inspired by the iconic superhero who will be returning to the big screens with the release of the latest Spider-Man film. The web-shooter actually fires a harpoon-tipped length of fishing line towards Styrofoam targets.

Priebe's webshooter is worn on the wrist and fired by pressing on a button that sits on a plate under the glove material on the user's palm. Unlike Spider-Man's webshooter, however, this one even features an aiming laser and LEDs that indicate its operational status.

The mini-harpoon is fired from a small coil gun that is charged by holding down a button on the palm. All of the webshooter's power requirements are served by a single lithium-polymer battery.
