Sound Wave-Fueled Levitation

Sound Wave Levitation Can Lift and Move Objects

Scientists from the University of Tokyo have performed sound wave levitation using four speakers to levitate and move water droplets and Styrofoam balls in mid-air.

Using nothing but the sound waves, the speakers generate. The speakers emit supersonic sound waves inaudible to human ears. The sound waves converge with such force at the center of the table during the experiments that the vibrating forces can lift and move tiny fragments of materials.

This sound wave levitation could be the start of inventing new kinds technology for a number of purposes; transportation, medicine, technology etc. This sound wave levitation technology could be used to free humans of the need for heavy lifting or dangerous work in factories. This innovation has innumerable possibilities for the future.
