The Sorcha O'Raghallaigh Spring/Summer 2014 collection takes its visual cues from the sculptures of artist Alfred Gilbert. The collection highlights the use of heavy embellishments that are applied atop traditional gown silhouettes.
Embracing opulence, this womenswear line uses unlikely metal materials to create its ornate accents. Its spiky cuffs, neckpieces and monarch inspired crown accessories are comprised out of safety-pins clusters that resemble luxe silver and platinum materials.
The collection's classically elegant aesthetic is elevated with avant-garde details that are a favourite of both Lady Gaga and Beyonce who sported pieces from the Sorcha O'Raghallaigh Spring/Summer 2014 collection in her video for "Mine".
Sorcha is based in London, United Kingdom and is a graduate from the fashion capital's renowned Central Saint Martins school.
