The Social Jukebox by Andrew Pairman is a social music sharing device that uses wooden tokens. Each token is linked to a RFID chip, which then plays personalized music playlists through its physical music player.
The idea behind this device was to create a music player where people could personalize their own token, and others could put that token into their machine and fully experience the music choices of their friends. This music player is reminiscent of music players from decades ago that were not able to shuffle and skip over music.
