Shredded Paper Furniture (UPDATE)

Jens Praet Creates a Fourth Edition for the Shredded Collection

The Shredded Collection by Jens Praet is now in its fourth edition, as the artist continues to explore the form and come up with new pieces.

Previously Praet used other types of materials for the desk and chairs such as art magazines from North America, including Fast Company and Elle. Now, she is using only copies from the magazine Art+Auction for the latest designs. It's quite fascinating how specific types of print materials were used to create the furniture, giving a whole new meaning to the final product.

The amazing thing is how the tables and mirror frames for the Shredded Collection look modern and usable, which most people wouldn't think would be possible with this type of material. Praet shows that with a little creativity something can be made from nothing. Photo Credits: designboom, jenspraet
