Traditionally Modern Polish Eateries

'Serwus' Takes Inspiration from Traditional Zapiekanka Stalls

Serwus Restaurant was inspired by traditional Zapiekanka stalls or fast food stands as we call it, which are known to serve baguettes with meat, cheese, vegetables and ketchup. Poland-based firm MFRMGR designed the restaurant as a cleaner and healthier version of the traditional fast food and has designed an even more modern take on the age old tradition.

The baguette shop recently set up shop in the city of Warsaw in Poland and takes its inspiration from market stalls or booths commonly seen in the 90s. "The entire spatial idea relates to the market booths where virtually everything was sold in Warsaw in the 90s," says the architects.

The entire shop is clad in yellow and red steel frames to resemble cheese and ketchup.
