German photographer Jan Von Holleben's 'Saving the Universe' photography series, shows him interacting with ten incredible machines that solve some of life's problems.
The inspiration for 'Saving the Universe' came about when Jan had an intense discussion with friends and family about some of their deepest "wishes for their lives and a wonderful future." While saying that these machines might help in saving the universe is a bit of a stretch, they'd certainly have their uses. There's the 'Good-Morning-Machine' that gets you ready for your day in three minutes, the 'Gender-Swap-Machine,' the 'Minimal-Re-Normal-Machine' that changes the size of any object, the Universal-Anything-Machine that turns anything into something else and the self-explanatory 'Candy-to-Woman Machine.'
'Saving the Universe' makes use of bright colors, a sense of child like whimsy as well as Rube Goldberg-like machine designs.
