Magnified Tear Droplet Photography

The Rose-Lynn Fisher Images of Water Droplets Display Shapes

Photographer Rose-Lynn Fisher turned her emotions into an artistic project titled The Topography of Tears. After crying a great deal, Fisher wondered what the droplets looked like up close, hence her up-close microscopic pictures of numerous droplets.

Black and white shading is all that is required to depict the difference among different types of tears. While many would assume that they are all shaped in the same manner, Fished unveils that depending on the trigger, varying formations come together.

Paired with Fishers documentation of tears is her categorization of the lot. It appears that as a result of laughter, onion cutting and grief, unique shapes and sizes are produced within ones tears, a fact that is likely unknown to most.
