The Roll Table by Tom Dixon Makes a Server's Life a Little Easier

Anybody who has worked as a server will tell you that it's a stressful job. The Roll Table by Tom Dixon makes this job just a little easier.

The Roll Table by Tom Dixon is the designer's latest furniture piece. The countertop is a simple squared laminate top that's supported by an intricately patterned cast iron base. However, if you look closer at the base, you'll see that there's a wheel. The wheel's purpose is to help servers effortlessly shift tables around instead of lifting and moving them as they navigate through a family who can't decide who to sit next to. I definitely hope restaurants invest in this to make serving tables a little easier.

The Roll Table was unveiled at Dixon's show in Milan in April.
