Intuitive Touch Thermometers

Robb Godshaw's Cryoscope Allows Temperature to be Told by Touch

Looking like some sort of cryptic time capsule, Robb Godshaw's Cryoscope might as well be a thing of the future. This thermometer allows you to tell the temperature by the touch of your hand!

This sturdy rock started out as a plain little aluminum cube, but has undergone extensive engineering to evolve into the piece of art lying before you today. Complete with sheaths of aluminium, bronze and plated silver, the device heats and cools according to the temperature outside. It has a minimum temperature of freezing and a maximum temperature that is safe to touch.

Robb Godshaw's Cryoscope, doubling as a mini modern sculpture, delivers an intuitive take on temperature accuracy.
