Otherworldly Projection Installations

The Infinity Room by Refik Anadol Offers a Trippy Experience

Art is immersive in various ways, yet Refik Anadol has created an experience that will make people feel as though they've entered an alternate universe in which it's impossible to know what's up and what's down. Currently on display at the Zorlu Performing Art Center in Istanbul, it is created using pixel projection.

Dubbed Infinity Room, Refik Anadol's installation is a 12-minute work that specifically "uses 3-D projection mapping to illuminate the walls of a white room, with careful consideration of its geometry ensuring the images don’t stretch or warp oddly along the surface," reports Fast Co Design. It also uses two mirrors on the ceiling and floor in order to make the experience truly trippy.
