I think it is safe to say that if Rebecca Foster had listened to her parents as a child, we might not get to experience her delicious black-and-white poppyseed portraits.
According to the artist, "Each image was made on AO mount board and took about 5 hours to create. Additional shading and details were added as they were being photographed." I can only imagine that this process feels painstakingly slow, considering one wrong move could ruin a whole section of the artwork. Aside from her poppyseed portraits, Rebecca Foster also uses other food ingredients to create her collages and images.
