The Rasberry Pi is a $25 PC and Can Run High-End Video Games

The Rasberry Pi was unveiled earlier this year in May and intends to revolutionize the way in which we teach children about computers, programming and technology in general - at a discount!

Astonishingly, this computer is only $25 and only uses a single board, whereas normal PCs use dozens of integrated silicone chips to perform complex tasks. To prove naysayers wrong, the inventor David Braben installed Quake 3 -- a relatively new video game -- onto the Rasberry Pi, cranked its video settings to maximum and showed the world how the bite-sized PC could run the game without issue. With only 128 megabytes of memory (approximately half of what modern smartphones possess), this computer has been forced to economize all of its calculations.

The premise of the Rasberry Pi is to help children learn the ins and outs of modern computers, preparing them for a workplace that demands those skills. If I were a kid, however, I suspect the ability to play high-end video games would stall the learning process.
