Suggestive Food Photoshoots

The ‘Put It In Your Mouth' Series Captures Intimate Eats

New York City photographer Ben Ritter captures people eating various foods in his ‘Put It In Your Mouth’ series for Vice Magazine. The photos range from titillating shots of girls eating popsicles and bananas, to more comedic pieces, like a man angrily eating a pickle and a couple bonding over a hot dog. All of the foods are slightly phallic, which adds to the sensuality or extreme awkwardness of the various poses. My favorite photo is of a man very uncomfortably biting into a large French baguette, as he seems well aware that the joke is on him.

The ‘Put It In Your Mouth’ shoot is a humorous adventure in awkwardly shaped foods, and features eccentric and fashionable looks by stylist Annette Lamothe-Ramos. The duo collaborate to create a memorable and highly entertaining photo set.
