Amazon's New Kindle Scout Publishing Program Lets Readers Vote

Amazon's recently launched crowdsourced publishing program allows readers to vote on their favorite parts of unpublished books to determine what does and doesn't make the cut.

Those who participate by voting are thanked with free book credits, depending on if they are able to successfully pick winning authors. Readers who nominate books that get published also get a free copy of the e-book for Kindle a week before the book is released to the public. While readers get to vote and participate, the Kindle Scout team ultimately decides which of the most popular titles in a 30 day period goes to print (so to speak).

The publishing program also offers better deals to authors than most big houses, according to TechCrunch. Book submissions are open to anyone, as well.
