The Prism Cabinet by Studio Swine Contains a Mini Hologram

The Prism Cabinet looks like it exploded into a million different pieces only to be meticulously and lovingly put back together by its owner. Of course, that would be quite the feat. Instead, the Prism Cabinet was conceived and created by London-based Studio Swine.

Inspired by Curiosity Cabinets of the 16th Century, the Prism Cabinet does not hold a physical object. It "contains a 180 degree holographic representation of Keiichi Matsuda's 'Prism' installation at the V&A," according to the visionary designers. This hologram live-streams data gathered from around London. For instance, the Thames tidal levels, number of TFL bikes currently in use, and energy consumption of the prime minister’s residence are relayed via the Prism Cabinet. Both primitive and futuristic, the Prism Cabinet is utterly mesmerizing.
