Chef-Curated Airline Meals

This Premium In-Flight Menu is Prepared by Top Chefs

American Airlines recently announced that it will now offer in-flight meals prepared by top chefs. Following in the footsteps of airlines such as Delta and Air France, the new in-flight meals will bring gourmet dining to the skies.

To give its in-flight menu an upgrade, American Airlines is tapping Michelin-starred chef Mark Sargeant, 'Chopped' judge Maneet Chauhan, Hawaiian chef Sam Choy and Italian food specialist Julian Barsotti. Chauhan is designing the food that will be served in premium cabins on US outbound flights, while Sargeant is in charge of the food served in premium cabins on European flights. In terms of air travel within the US, Barsotti will be in charge of the premium cabin menu on domestic flights and Choy will prepare food for the Hawaii routes. Not only will the new menus feature elevated dishes, but there will also be an emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients when possible.

By offering in-flight meals prepared by top chefs, America Airline's demonstrates a new effort to elevate the passenger experience.
