Stripped Sand Vases

Victor Castanera's Pottery Line Recreates the Aesthetic of the Beach

Victor Castanera is a Spanish designer and creative that put together a pottery line of vases and bowls inspired by the ocean and the beach. The collection, entitled Undae, reflects the texture of grains of sand as well as the water in a series of delicately sculpted resin works that replicate the color of natural settings.

The Undae line of pottery is a return to natural materials and textures drawing inspiration from water and sand for colors and the overall aesthetic of the pieces.
Castanera explains his source of design inspiration to blog Dezeen as, "I am passionate about the ocean since I was a kid and I have an obsession with waves and these organic stripes that the sea creates in the water, so I wanted to start my work being inspired by this."
