Ecological Plastic Rings

Saltwater Brewery Creates Digestible Six-Pack Packaging to Reduce Waste

To help reduce the amount of waste that is found in the oceans, Saltwater Brewery has put together a digestible plastic ring design for its beer products that is ecological as well as compostable. In other words, if these specific plastic rings found their way into the ocean they would naturally biodegrade without harming aquatic life.

Plastic is one of the largest pollutants found in water bodies across the globe, and Saltwater Brewery is doing its part to help reduce the impact the plastic has on damaging aquatic ecosystems. The rings are constructed out of natural material including wheat and barley. The combination creates a durable material that can be used in the same way was plastic, but be fully compostable.
