Airborne Plastic Ballet Bags

These Plastic Bags Were Used to Perfrom a Ballet Dance

Plastic bags are commonly used for their obvious purpose of holding items but this artistic used them to perform a ballet dance. A French performance artist named Phia Ménard and performance troupe 'Compagnie Non Nova' had used these bags for performing arts at the 2014 London International Mime Festival.

The dance was inspired by airborne plastic bags where they became animated by cross-currents and generated by a ring of fans blowing inward to the center of a round stage. The bags came to life by the constant blowing movements that made them dance in the air so elegantly with music by Debussy. These plastic bags twirled and spun in the air with such delicacy in the air as dancing ballet figures.
