Plas2fuel Recycles Waste Plastics into Crude Oil

Kelso, Washington-based Plas2Fuel (soon to be Agilyx) has launched a startup facility in Tigard, Oregon that converts plastic into synthetic oil. Plas2fuel recycles waste plastics using a patent-pending batch process in which heat, vacuum and chemical separation convert about 10 pounds of waste plastic into a gallon of synthetic sweet crude oil.

Plas2fuel recycles waste plastics from a number of sources. Small, scalable equipment allows the technology to be placed near plastic collection and sorting sites, which provides local control and avoids transportation and off-site sorting costs.
