The world’s wealthiest individuals will have the opportunity to bid on an auction for what is considered the most valuable diamond in the world—the Pink Star.
The Pink Star is a 59.6 carat oval cut pink diamond; this pink rock has been named by David Bennet (chairman of Sotheby’s Switzerland), as "immensely important." The sheer size and color currently makes it one that has surpassed all others known to exist in the world (including those in government, royal or private collections).
The Pink Star will be a popular choice amongst the world’s wealthiest when it goes on action on November 13th at the Beau-Rivage Hotel later this year. The diamond is estimated to sell for well over $60 million.
