Famous glass artist Peter Kovacsy pursues a sense of wonderment and exercises his expert techniques in turning glass with a new project. Fittingly presented at the TRANSCENDENCE exhibition—which was part of Milan Design Week 2023, the Vestige for Ross Gardam was a brutalist-inspired sculptural light source that intrigued visitors not only by way of its form but also in the way it is emitting light. Each piece is handmade and mounted on a raw aluminum base. For the design, Peter Kovacsy also drew inspiration from "a moody landscape muse where moonlight exists as an ethereal glowing presence." This landscape muse is located in a "remote southern area of the Western Australian environment."
Peter Kovacsy's Vestige for Ross Gardam lamps are limited edition. With only five sculptures being made, the design become incredibly exclusive.
