A brand-new mobile spin-off game for iOS and Android devices called Persona 5: The Phantom X has been unveiled by publisher Perfect World and developer Black Wings. In-game purchases will be available, and it will be free to play for all mobile users. The game's central theme is "desire," and, like in Persona 5, Phantom X members will be able to participate in after-school events, spend the day at school, and experience several areas via the Metaverse.
Persona is a spin-off from Atlus' Megami Tensei brand and centers on several role-playing video games. When players aren't eliminating evil bad guys, they're simulating contemporary student life in Tokyo. The new game's story is an original tale surrounding a new group of Phantom Thieves.
Persona 5: The Phantom X will conduct playtests starting in China on March 29.
