It started with Ellen Von Enworth in this months Vogue Italia and has been an emerging trend both on the runways and in fashion editorials. The Fall and Winter show packages from Ford modeling agency show a copious amount of face-painted and body-painted models.
Personally, I am a fan of the trend. Not only does body painting have an ancient and fascinating history, but it makes for some striking images and conceptual pieces. From simple and elegant to all-out outrageous and surreal, the possibilities when using the body as a canvas are virtually limitless.
