Pact Coffee Debuts a New Recyclable Packaging Design

Pact Coffee is taking a significant step towards sustainability with the introduction of new packaging, which is set to cover the brand's coffee product line. The company has launched single-material bags that are not only 100% recyclable but also composed of 70% recycled materials. These materials primarily consist of plastics commonly discarded in recycling bins, contributing to a circular economy and reducing the environmental impact.

As a result of the new initiative, 53,000 600ml plastic bottles will be collected from the rivers in the Phillipines and Indonesia, equating to approximately 1,000,000 of Pact's coffee bags.

"[A]round 90% of people don’t have the means to compost at home, and the growing data shows that lots of this packaging is ending up in landfill or blocking the food recycling process. For this reason, we’re confident that we’ve chosen the most sustainable option while maintaining the trademark Pact Coffee freshness," said Paul Turton, chief executive of Pact Coffee.
