The Orinoid Meteor Shower Passes By/through the Earth

If, like me, you cannot get enough of outer space, and the Universe in general, then hearing about the Orinoid meteor shower that occurred early this morning will have you trolling the internet for pictures.

The Orinoid meteor shower is actually a stream of remnants from Halley's Comet, which passed nearby earth in the late '90's.

As Halley's Comet will not be visible to the naked eye from Earth until 2062, the Orinoid meteor shower is the best glimpse that you will have of the Comet for the next half a century.
