'RetailMeNot' Humorously Depicts Unpurchased Online Shopping Carts

'RetailMeNot,' a web-based discount store, got help from advertising agency 'Y&R New York' in creating two short commercials that show consumers what it imagines online shopping carts that were left behind to look like.

The first begins with somber music playing as randomly placed carts are focused in on -- appearing in parking lots, sidewalks, beaches, forests and containing everything from a washing machine to a delivery boy. At the end, it pans to man who's shopping through RetailMeNot's mobile app, which notes that his online shopping cart is full of products he'd like. Following this are the words "Never abandon a cart again" and "Deals, Coupons and more are everywhere you shop."

The other commercial shows a woman window-shopping for a purse. She falls in love with one upon sight, only to see a hefty price that deters her. She goes on the company's app as well, where she finds the same purse for a lower price.
