Ukranian fashion designer Oleksiy Zalevskiy has no problem taking artistic licenses, as evidenced by the show for this year’s Ukrainian Fashion Week.
While eccentricities and fashion are no strangers to one another, Oleksiy Zalevskiy raised the bar this year. Photos from the show depict a woman with a Napoleonic bicorne hat-like hair-do, wearing a dress the size of a small car. In subsequent photos, the fabric of the dress is drawn away to reveal a cage upon which the lady sits; within the cage is a gaggle of man-servants wearing nothing but loincloths—that’s service!
Oleksiy Zalevskiy certainly knows how to make a scene. Subtlety is often to be preferred in many contexts; however, sometimes it’s more effective to grab people’s attention in more direct ways.
